Welterweights- who is next in line after Hughes?

Ok, so Hughes fights Serra in December. Who gets the next crack at the title? Should it be Parisyan vs Fitch or GSP? I think we need to see a definite #1 contender fight!

I would probably say your right.... I just wish we could see a really good #1 contender fight before either Fitch or GSP get a title shot. Why? Hughes and Serra are fighting in December. We have to go November and almost all of December for the title fight and then it may be another 3-4 months before that winner defends the title. That is a long time. Parisyan fights Chonan in November but damn.... it might be March or April when the welterweight title is defended again.

GSP is guaranteed a fight with the winner of hughes/serra, from what i understand, but you are right, it won't be until spring to see that fight happen. in the meantime it looks like fitch will be in line for a #1 contender fight for the next in line after that. that may be where we see a Karo/Fitch fight which would be a sight to see. that's how i see it shaping up.

this is a nice division, GSP is one of my favorites... and i think he has trained very very hard after the face pounding serra gave him.. as far as december, this is the first time serra is defending the title, and it is against a very good fighter, and from watching the show hughes is gonna be pissed at the tuf 6 finale... he's down 6 to 1 and his only win was matt danzig (house veteren) vs joey scarolla (tried MMA but doesnt have a fighters heart, especially with how he took the loss like a winey little bitch and complained to call his girl) so hughes is mad he's only got 1 win so far, and the last prelim fight is with a mini matt hughes, farm boy who likes to slam you across the ring wrestle a little and beat your head in... so i think hughes team wins the last fight and as far as finals go, i think danzig will win it all and in the finale i want to see serras BJJ guy who beat dorion

tuf 6 i say hughes gets the win, this is really a wierd fight for serra... he's never done an ultimate fighter reality show before and had to face another coach after seeing him/competing for a few weeks straight, hughes has before... season 3 maybe? but this is also that serra is not the underdog on paper, all of his fights before fans and some fighters underestimated him alot and he's a solid fighter, and we all saw that with what he did to GSP... so a lot of ackward things for serra, and he's a little cocky from his team sucess, so i say hughes is gonna train harder and come in and do what he does best, slam serra hard and beat him down and get the win by tko by serra not bieng able to defend himself

after tuf 6 some time spring next year i think GSP will be fighting hughes again... and after seeing what serra did to gsp, i think he has been training very hard... and fought a great fight vs josh coscheck... who is a phenominal wrestler and GSP beat coscheck at his own game... he took him down on command and put cos on his back, and no one has ever really done that before... so i think GSP will beat hughes and hold the title for a while later
