Should be an interesting fight. Five five-minute rounds.
Who are you guys leaning towards?
I don't really have to ask you, Tom! I think I know where you stand!!! :D lol

I'm still a HUGE Saku fan and will be like a little school girl when this fight happens. I would wear my lucky Saku shirt from 2001, but I think it now fits like a tummy-tee! hahahahahah

Royce will win. I am thinking either by decision or a quick sub..

Anyone predicting a draw?:D

I am a HUGE Sakuraba fan and as much as I love Royce I think Saku is a more complete MMA fighter and that he has by far and away fought better competition.

Ive gotta go with Royce but for many reasons I can see why peopel would see this as an upset. Hopefully Royce's training at Fairtex has been extensive!

Tom, you of all people should know that Royce isn't going to put his family name on the line and the people at Fairtex willl NOT put their name on the line by doing something half assed. Royce will be more prepared then any other time. My 2 pennies:D

Well, Saku's sub defense is amazing. I think he's had a total of 9 losses and only one of the losses was by submission. It was his first pro fight in 96 against Kimo. Obviously, Kimo had a HUGE size advantage on him and won by head and arm choke.
But he's been in the ring with Renzo, Ryan, Nogueira, Arona, Royler, and Royce before... So I am going to agree with Tom. It is going to be up to his training at Fairtex. :)

I thought Saku has been deemed unhealthy for fighting purposes due to brain problems...

Did that turn out to be a farce?

Saku will take this one I believe he has more left and fighting someone who wont kill him (wand, cro cop, Arona fighters he should have never faught) he will have the edge being more active as well

Saku had some condition involving blood flow through his neck and head I do believe.

Guys Fairtex is good and all but Saku spent 1 whole year training at Chute Box! after he stopped fighting Pride FC

Here is more footage of Saku training with Chute Boxe during Labor Day. Doesn't seem to be very motivated in this one! lol You will understand what I'm talking about when you see it.
