Ok, so I just looked on mmaweekly and realized that about 4 fighters did NOT make weight. I am not referring to a half lbs. or something, I am referring to 7 lbs. unreal.... this organization and its fighters want to be taken seriously?

Donnie Liles 177 for a welterweight fight
Delson Heleno 175
Gideon Ray 173... both welterweights
Matt Horwich..... 187.5 for middleweight

Am I being too tough on these guys or am I giving them the criticism they deserve?

I hear alot of negative things about the calibre of 80% of the fighters in the IFL but I am no one to judge. I hear this mostly from fighters in "tougher" organisations I dont know how true it is but many have said similar things to me.

If you cant make weight you shouldnt be a pro it is YOUR JOB so no excuse on that point.

Don't get me wrong.... I like a couple of the names in IFL. Some are very good athletes who just couldn't make it in a bigger organization. Alex Shoneaur (sp), Gideon Ray, Benji Radach and a few others. Travis Lutter is an excellent example of what happens to someone when you don't make weight in the big times. I believe pro fighters have a certain level of committment they must hold themselves to. I don't like Tim Sylvia but he is an adament professional. He shows up, makes weight and follows through with his obligations no matter how shitty he looks or feels.

Last year I saw him at the Arnold Classic the day after getting beat by Randy Couture. That is class.
