Santino DeFranco def. Melvin Guillard 2:33 round 1 by triangle choke
Guillard came in as the favorite, but no one told Defranco. Santino dominated the takedowns and ground. Guillard defended the first triangle, but when Defranco locked in the second one, there was no escaping.

Guillard is not known for his sub defense but many of great grapplers have fallen to him in MMA fights. He is super athletic, explosive, and a very good striker!

My brother and I cornered him at that fight in Atlanta, GA. He was poised and ready to go all week. He did some training at my gym before the fight. It was a shame that he went through all those medical problems. He has all the tools and hopefully we will get a chance to see him fight in the UFC on day.
