Dave Camarillo's Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu book? I have heard some good things about it, but I was wondering if it is geared more towards the experienced level people, or if it is helpfull to about everyone. Thanks

New to the forum, lets just say I like this place. =) To the question...

Geared for everyone, makes it very easy to understand. No crazy submissions, or anything very simple and effective, the flying submissions are easy as well, actually having the balls to try them takes a little bit of nerve though.

Amazing book, although I am not the biggest fan of the gi I loved this book. My first grappling match, on the first guy I faced I got a flying armbar in no-gi from reading this book, and trying it a shit ton with my buddies at his school. In the beginner devision, that and I have studied Judo as well as submission grappling, so I like the blending of the styles.

Hope that helps.

Tim

Kind of funny that someone replied to this, I just came on here to find this to write a review about the book, seems like you did a fine job for me!

Happy to help, Dave Camarillo knows his stuff when it comes to blending BJJ/Judo.

Ya I found alot of his stuff very useful, and I like the way he does his flying attacks too. The differences between how he does his flying armbar and how I was taught is a world of difference and seems so much easier.

Absolutely, when your leg slams into their collar bone and around the neck it really doesnt come off, like the way I was taught.

For a super heavyweight, anything with the word flying is just wrong!
