Evan Tanner... I don't know what to think about him. I followed his "foundation" stuff on his website for so long, which I found a bit odd and random. Only for it to fall through, and him suddenly decide out of nowhere to want to fight again.

In my opinion, he's going to have his hands full. Don't get me wrong, I was a huge Evan Tanner fan, and except for the fight against Rich, have ALWAYS rooted for him. He used to train at a gym here in my area that several of my training partners know him personally. But I think the 185 top 5 or 6 will be tough matchups for him...

Rich, Anderson, Marquardt, Okami, Kampman (when he's healthy again), Lutter, even Leben may pose as a problem for him.

Yeah... I'm with you on the E. Tanner subject, but who knows I've seen stranger things. And there are older and least talented MMA Fighters out their as well...just my .02 cents

I like Evan even though he was totally unpredictable for about 6 months. He became a mountain man, lived in Vegas, lived in Oregan and then moved to Cali. From what I have read on his sites he is going back to the UFC for the wrong reasons. He states that his foundation can't and won't be successful without the backing of "UFC middleweight champ" as his title. People won't sponsor, fighters may not be interested and the notoriety just wouldn't be there. So, should he come back just to give his foundation a name or should he come back for himself and the fans? Tanner is a scarred person from what I have read. He says he went to a UFC event, sat in the back row and looked like a Mt. man. He was disgusted that when he was famous people would run up to him but now that he isn't recognizeable he was getting pushed aside (literally) so they could get to someone else.
