As the title says I think I have lost all of the "easy" weight that I can, seems like I am going to have to turn up my work out routine, and eat better....I dont know if I can get rid of the fried chicken though :(

what are you dropping weight for? Just regular health reasons or are you trying to get down to a lower weight class for competition?

Both kind of. I want to get into better shape period, and then within about 10 pounds of what I would like to compete at. My goal walk around weight is 180-185lbs. I started at 230lbs and now I just cant seem to break the 195 mark.

Ya I am going to try to make it there. My problem is I like to eat...I really like to eat lol. But if I want to be able to compete on a better level with people more my size (size I should be that is) I guess I need to watch what I eat better and drop the weight.

You should try bulemia, I hear that its very effective at letting you eat what you want and not gain any weight :D

Seriously, sounds like you've made great progress so far. Good luck with the rest of the weight.

I have learned that you just can't deprive yourself of great food or you will go off the deepend and just gulp it all down. Seriously, when I had to watch my weight in wrestling I would make an entire box of mac and cheese and I would only eat a cup at a time or space it out to where it took me 3 days to eat it.

Think about this...... lets say you decide to cook what I said above and you wanted it ate in 1 day. Split it up between 3-4 meals and you just at between 1200-1500 cals. in a day. You had good food and ended up eating the least amount of cals you need to maintain some muscle. Also, if you drink a protein shake with it then the protein makes the carbs digest easier and they won't be stored as fat. Just remember that you CANNOT eat carbs without protein!

LOL!!! Welcome to the world of pain and aggrevation. If you drop your Carb intake to, lets say about 30 a day, the weight will start to come off. Its hell and you will start to hate EVERYBODY!!!!! But it is working for me.

P.S. Quit drinking all that damn soda too. No more Route 66 Root Beers after class.

Firstly, I hate you....secondly we need to combine the styles here, you diet and I exercise... You dont have time to exercise, and I dont want to give up fried chicken lol.

You dont have to give up the chicken, just give up the skin.

I've gotta give you major props on droping from 230 down to around 195. Your goal is 180-185 and I'm positive you'll get there before you know it. You obviously have the drive and motivation to hit your target wieght and tear up that wieght class in MMA or BJJ competition, whichever you're thinking of competing in. Keep it up and keep us posted on your progress. Hoo-yah!:D

There is another way to avoid absorbing fats from foods. Its an over the counter product called Alli. You take it about 30 minutes to an hour before eating and it prevents the fats from being absorbed in the GI.

Yes it does actually work, it is FDA approved for this.

The drawbacks:
1. It's not cheap, and
2. The fat has to go somewhere, and that somewhere is typically out your a$$ in the form of anal leakage, especially after high fat meals.

Best of luck,

matt

But the brown crunchy stuff is the best part. :)

Im with Ed on this one. I just need to quit complaining and buckle down. The sooner I get into some sort of routine or diet the better. I would really like to be 180 by Aug of this year. that would be a 50lb weight loss in a year and I would also be the same weight when I quit smoking lol.
