I thought it would be pot to be honest (the Gracies are big on weed). The truth is that drugs are a lot more prevelant in mma that people think. HGH, masking agents...I just had this conversation with someone from the UFC organization recently...

Injuries, recovery time...how to you compete when the rest of the players are doing it?

At his age his joints are incredibly sore so he needed a lubricant for them. Not an excuse but a person of his fame and legendary status shouldn't be fighting if he needs enhancers to compete.
