IMO They Need To Be Taken Out And Shot. Yes We Live In A Free Country You HAve The Right To Say Whatever You Want, But You Dont Have To Pull The Shit They Do. Ive Seen Protesters Standing Outside Of Soldiers Funerals Bitching And Moaning About The War Talking Shit About Those Who Died And How They Deserved It For Just Being Murders. What They Need To Realize Is The Alot Of Troops Dont Want To Be There But Orders Are Orders And They Have To Be Followed. I Myself Am Not To Fond Of The War But Support My Friends And Families And Those I Dont Know Overseas. Protesters Have The Right To Bitch But Need To Be Respectful. Look At That Sheehan Woman Or Whatever Her Name Was. I Feel Sorry That Her Son Died But It Was His Choice To Enlist And When You Do Enlist There Is A Chance You Will Have To Go Fight In Some War Or Other Conflict And Possibly Give Your Life. I Wish All Of Our Troops A Safe Return And Hope That Someday These Pacifist Protesters Would Enlist And Understand The Situation Instead Of Pointing Their Fingers At The Troops ANd Families That Have Done Nothing But Sacrificed Everything Since The Day The War Began.

You can hate the war and you can hate the reasons for war but to disrespect soldiers who step up and give their blood to enforced a war from a President of a democracy we voted for is not just a crime but a sin!

Some of the tactics they use make me sick to my stomach! They need to leave it political and leave the soldiers themeselves and their families out of it!
Also they need to relize this IS NOT a draft these people have joined and should all be seen as what they are!...heros.

Ok Ill share this even though I shouldnt!
Ill tell ya what (and I should have been arrested for this but fuck it)
I was bouncing at a bar on Mill Avenue in Tempe and this guy was saying how he was glad soldiers are dying because now people can see how bad the war is.

That was enough for me and one other bouncer (a marine himself) we took him out back and fucked his shit up! I took his ID and told him if I ever hear him saying he is glad a soldier died..FOR ANY REASON....I will have to have a little "mapquest fun."

I know its not "legal" or even "right" but it felt right to me. Even though we have a free country with free speech that night someone was taught that there are certain boundaries you shouldn't cross! It is what it is and if I had to do it over I would have beaten him even worse. I have no remorse for people who can say a thing like that. Worst was the tone he used...he really meant it! It truly made him happy everytime he turned on the news and saw more dead soldiers! thats FUCKED I dont care what the reason!

By the way I will SO deny this story in the future and you cant prove someone else isn't typing this as we speak;) (cops were kinda asking alot of questions around the bar and they cant prove who it was but they "know")

Awesome story.... I wish there were more people like you who stand up for soldiers. I would, but honestly have never heard anyone say something like that before except on TV.

It was actually kind of stupid and if everyone acted like that US wouldnt be a "free" place but like I said in that case I was happy to risk going to jail etc.. because i elt so strongly on the matter.

I guess the truth comes out when you are drinking. People say all kinds of stupid stuff when they are drunk and Im fine with that.

In person I had NEVER heard anything like that before either I think that is part of why I reacted as I did.

Not saying its "ok" to punch people out for saying something stupid because I believe in the first amendment. I just think there should be "safe zones" that shouldn't be talked about. For instance, the guy should have been bashing the government for making troops go to Iraq...... not the troops. The troops have no say in what happens. This instance is similar to another instance, lets say a guys girlfriend or wife gets raped. Does the girlfriend or wife deserve ridicule and a beating from her husband or boyfriend? No, the rapist should get his ass kicked. Same thing with the troop basher.... he is blaming the wrong people and saying something very insensitive at the same time. These type of people are "terrorist sympathizers" and do not deserve to leave that club as he entered.

The point to all of that was, was to say that no you can't go around beating people for what they say but at the same time there are such things you do not say without expecting backlash. Everything would have probably been ok if he said "Our Government sucks, we need to get out of there". His opinion would have been better received. But to say he wishes DEATH? whole other story. Would you do it again?

You worded it better than I could.
As stated above and if I had to do it over I would have beaten him even worse. Never quoted myself before feels weird :D

I seriously doubt he will come by the club again. People like that are cowards and its probably the first time he has really felt like he has to watch what he says because no one showed him any manners when he was a kid or maybe he wasn't hugged enough who the hell knows!

All I know is
1. He will look around before he says something like that again if he says it at all.
2. He wont be back I know his type

In fact when the cops came the other security guards said he was too scared to try and point anyone out.
He kept saying "they took my ID" and the cops said who and he just kept looking at his shoes and not giving them helpful info.

My friend who works with me texted me later that night and he said "when security was talked to by Police they more or less said it could've been anyone officer he was happy about dead troops"

I couldn't tell ya what he or they....I know better than to stick around after one of those incidents so I was gone for the night :)

Disclaimer: this 'never happened' and you can't prove it did this is the INTERNET
