Gents:
I am going to upload the full match of Eddie Bravo vs Royler Gracie from ADCC 2003 in the next day. I know many of you haven't seen the entire match (only the re hashed subfighter one on you tube). This is the entire match with no edits whatsoever.
Stay tuned.

No Dan, that was the subfighter edited version (it is good). I decided to put this up so people could see the match in its totality (some may find it boring in places (not me but I love grappling matches) but I thought it was about time it was on the net)

Get Joe what? A bottle of water after he schooled you?

Joe may be a funny guy and a commentator but I do not think Eddie would allow him to be that close to his 10PJJ school if he wasn't legit. Not saying his students are all badasses but Rogan is actually spokesman of sorts to his system. As a matter of fact, not a whole lot of people know this but WESLEY SNIPES pussed out of a fight with Joe Rogan. I just think Rogan is underestimated and I think if he rolled with someone he would win or atleast make it tough.

Two Things:
One, I think he was kidding guys.
Two: Joe is not only gorilla strong but he is VERY good at jiu jitsu.

Were they telling each other jokes? It looked like Royler was talking and laughing, until the last few minutes anyway.:D

I thought it looked more like he was straining. I couldn't figure out why he would be straining so much with over/under. Laughing makes more sense.
Every time I see Eddie Bravo or BJ Penn, it makes me want to start brushing my teeth and preparing my breakfast every morning using only my feet. Maybe then they will become nimble enough to do some of the things I see them pull off time and time again. Amazing stuff.

It's amazing to me how many people dog Eddie for the rubber guard.. when as you can see even Royler does his own version within the match.
I've also heard so many people say "That was a sloppy/lucky traingle" and it'd never happen again..
It just goes to show that the 10th planet techniques work.. he used them throughout the entire match.. and if people understood the system - wouldn't make comments like that.
it would've just been nice to see eddie finish royler with a chain from halfguard or a full chain from rubber guard. Not that I'm not a fan of royler.. or eddie.. but I would have liked to seen eddie finish him with his style.
As far as the Joe Rogan comments.. alot of people just don't understand his achievements.. he practices yoga, jiu jitsu under Eddie (and Jean Jacques Machado), and was a four-time state Tae kwon do champion (black belt at 15) and he won the US Open Tae Kwon Do Championship at 19...and later as a lightweight champion went on to beat both the middle and heavyweight title-holders to obtain the Grand Championship. Needless to say - he's quite underestimated - maybe if he wasn't such a silly-ass.. people would take him more serious - but as a commentator and comedian.. we just can't expect that :)

I was waiting for Rogan to unload a barrage of Muay Thai knees to that meathead on Fear Factor. He had the plum locked in there pretty well.

Awesome!
Thanks for sharing Ari - I agree it may be boring to some, but it's exactly that kind of chess match that I love to see ... where they are both so good neither make obvious mistakes, and both run a very tight game.

Yeah, Rogan could have really unloaded on that guy if he wanted to, but instead, he just held his head down for a little while until other people could intervene. That was probably a good decision.

As someone has already mentioned he also trains with Jean Jacques Machado. Last I saw he was ranked as a purple belt....let me check....yep. Here's the link (http://jeanjacquesmachado.com/academy/beltranks.php) to the official belt ranks via Jean's website

Dan:
Joe and Eddie met at JJM years ago. That is how they became friends. I am not sure but I think JJ keeps Joe's name on there from years ago because it is JOE ROGAN. Joe is a brown belt under Eddie however.
Got me thinking too. This is what I posted on our 10th PJJ forum site:
"So I uploaded the ADCC 2003 match of the two and I've noticed something very interesting. The attitude towards Eddie and the 10P system has changed SO MUCH in 5 years. Just reading the comments alone make me realize this. 3 years back, it would have been bashed and attacked like crazy. Given enough time, the TRUTH begins to seep into the consciousness of the masses and attitudes change.

Just food for thought."
