how hard can bjj be on knees?

hello im new to this forum still i would like to ask a question.

i had a 1 patellar dislocation doing karate and 1 practing soccer. so ye... u guys r probably more experient than me so i would like to know what u think about how hard can it be on ur knees.

i saw a topic almost same looking as mines but i would just to reinforce to u guys post knee stretches and stuff like that

Hey Bro:

Welcome to the forum!

My experience if you have knee problems.

1) don't start grappling on your knees. Use the butt scoot method
2) don't sit on your knees
3) Ice them lots
4) Avoid, at all costs twisting knee stuff, knee bars and heel hooks.

Other than that, you should be pretty good.

Good video. Is it harder to prevent mount when your scooting like that?

Ryan: I think so because you have butterfly or half guard right there for you and can keep the other guy at bay with your legs.
