I have read reports that Renato Sobral was fired for his actions at UFC 74

I was shocked by that. I figured a hefty fine but not fired.

I'm not suprised he was let go. Look at what Dana White did to the guys who got into a fight in the Ultimate Fighter. Dana has always been very vocal in trying to prove that the fighters in the UFC are not a bunch of thugs. Choking out a guy longer than is necessary, "to teach a lesson" , is disgraceful. He got what was coming to him.

Im not sure, there has been many times this has happend.
In this case I just would have fined him also.
I think Dana White is controlled by the crowd =P
