Hi.
Do you guys use this Tozi Pass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jnt5yuY64Gw) ( aka. Sao Paolo Pass, WilsonReis-Pass, Chimpass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMfKdjf0A2g))?

I am having success with it against regular bjj players but RGers tend to go for carni which gives me problems. Also a wicked body triangle seems to shut down that pass. Any ideas or suggestions?

used it a few times...
the more pressure you give with your shoulder the better it works... needs a smooth transition between your bases as well...

well then again I am not that good a grappler to matter anyway ;-)

Wow, good stuff. I love the scroll at the begining of the Chim video where it says "yeah we know, you've already seen it"

yeah that pass is begging for the Carni but I see how it would work against non RG guys.....

I was thinking omoplata for the bottom guy but it looks like he can't shift his hips.. YOu better be holding on for dear life with a ton of shoulder pressure with that right arm cuz if not bad things are gonna happen to your arm...

Even before I started learning rubber guard, I was always told not to put my hand on the mat in the guard - I dont like this pass...

Well there must be something to this pass cos Tozi (gi) and Wilson (no-gi) are pulling it off to top level guys without getting caught. So I will give it a try and try to implement it to my gameplan. So far I have had about 90% success rate with it.

There seems to be going on a debate about this topic on UG (http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=forum.posts&forum=11&thread=1426695&page=1). Check it out.
