any of you guys while you're rolling ever use any tactics some might consider "cruel and unusual punishment"????

Not ones intended to hurt your opponent of course cause I think if you are taking BJJ and you disrespect your opponent that much you have no right to be on the mats. I'm talking about techniques designed to for example "calm down a crazy flailing newb" before he hurts not only you but the two dudes rolling next to you???? Or the guy that has repeatedly smashed your nuts when trying to do some jumping double knee thru pass he saw on youtube????

I'd be interested to see what you guys have done as part of your DJJ (dirty jiu jitsu) arsenal just for fun.....

I'll start....

the cover your opponents mouth with your hand tactic to limit his breathing.... or the forearm in the throat stack which is a fav of mine to keep them from wanting to grab my legs when i stand up and stack....

the "Fuck weight distribution" Pass: I use this one sometimes with new guys who i know won't be able to sweep me. When i'm passing i make sure to put my entire bodyweight on my knee that is on his inner thigh.... Also known as the black and blue pass....

I still think the "can opener" pass qualifies under DJJ techniques... some might argue this point...

The "stack your opponent upside down" stack: I've never used this but opponents do it to me all the time as a seemingly mean test of rear back/pelvis flexibility... I had a dude stack me so bad one time when I had him in a triangle that I literally rolled over backwards..... he was still in that triangle.. :D

The "Jaw naked Choke": don't know if this was intentional or not. I didn't do it but someone did it to me. He had a rear naked choke but my chin was down and whether or not he knew it didn't matter.... He clamped it down and it was merciless as he was pretty damn strong up top.... I didn't tap but damn I couldn't chew right for a month...

you guys got any others done by you or to you?????

yesterday i had to do the forearm (w/ monkey grip shoulder) grab in the neck sweep from guard a little rough...tourney in 9 days and he's trying to do "tough man" neck cranks and breathe like a golden retriever in my face, tisk tisk. I bet it's that stupid high school wrestling he's in.

yep I dig the elbow or knuckles in peoples ribs. It's just a little bit to make them screw up their positioning. Sometimes if I'm rolling with a total spaz and/or jack@$$ I'll go for a collar choke with both hands but instead of going deep I'll just crush his jaw with my fists, either just slightly enough to let the point get across of look you're not that good calm down and just flow, or yeah you're not the only one who can be a jerk.

haha

80% of the time I tap out it's due to tough man neck cranks. some dudes are just bigger than you and they don't want to lose.

ironically, i have on occassion done the Rear Naked Jaw Crank.. it was never intentional, really just me being stubborn and hoping it would slip under the chin.

i actually pissed off a friend of mine with that, he wouldn't tap and once he survived and broke free of back control he gave me an angry after drill shove. totally threw me off but i casually, without thinking said, "Don't get mad, you get to have your revenge next since it's your turn now." He later sort of apologized and everything was cool but it was weird being on the otherside of the douche bag mirror.

One of my guys in my club bit another one...just for jokes though, and it was just a light chomp.

Using things like elbows and such IMHO aren't really dirty, just depends on if you really need it or not. Considering I am 100lbs, and I sometimes roll with a guy who is 240lbs, I use whatever I can shy of eye gouging and groin striking to finish the job.

 :D

One time I was rolling with someone for like 20 minutes and nothing was happening just attempt after attempt and escape after escape. Eventually I took my belt off and wrapped it around their neck - I won. lol

I've always liked the hand over mouth thing.

We were doing a 2-on-1 drill one time, and one guy (we were both the 2-team) did that to the other one. The onesie said "You're mean", to which he replied "Would you like anything less from me?" Of course, he answered a solid "nope".

I don't mind dirty tricks one bit. I'm there to learn how to prevent them from being effective on me, so when someone slaps my forehead, I'm not going to fall for it and give up an arm!

The first knuckle on the thumb is a magical thing. There's almost no place on the human body where it can't force some movement. My favorite place for it is at the jawline just under the ear.

A friend of mine wears a steel cup and has gotten very good at getting it on the spine in the small of the back. It opens up your turtle pretty quickly if you're not expecting it.

there are some really subtle finger locks i do that don't look like finger locks, i use them to break grips alot. i slide my opponents fingers inward and squeeze his fingers tight into his palm (it hurts ALOT) also when i'm passing if i don't think the guy can sweep me i'll put my knee right above the side of his ankle if i don't like the person i'm rolling with (it leaves horrible bruises and sets up a nice ankle lock) i also like to use my forearm to rake someones nose upward to set up the RNC. oh and if i can't get the whip-up i'll just squeeze the shit out of the lock-down until the pain distracts my opponent. yea i'd say that's about all my "dirty tricks"

from side control if the guy's stalling i'll make an effort to put an... unfriendly.. amount of pressure on his solar-plexus with my Hellbow (a-la GSP). usually get a victim to turn into you.

if i ever compete in mixed martial arts i intend to use that nasty trick as a strike.

I fell to a dirty trick this morning. It looks like an ezekeil choke coming on but then you get this sharp f-ing pain behind your ear. I was keeping my chin down and keeping a hand next to my neck to defend the ezekeil. Next thing I know dude has his middle nuckle of his middle finger pressing that little soft spot below your ear and behind your jawbone. It is still cramping.

I use my knees in their face if it's dirty time. Whether i am in the guard or on the top, I drive my knees into their face and it keeps their mind preoccupied.

Tickling. Works on most.

these are the dirties in my opinion

- can opener (a good one puts my neck out for a few days)
- knee to face triangle escape
- knuckles in the back

Hmmm tickling... have to try that......

i've rolled with dudes before that i'm friends with and when they get triangles locked in i'll start dropping body shots on them bare knuckled... it usually stuns them enough for me to get out... LOL

I usually wear this huge metal muay thai cup and if somebody is being a doosh I'll go north-south on them and sprawl out on there face. It's not the most pleasant thing having a chunk of metal digging into your head.

We like to call it the T-bag!
