This week I will be heading down to Jamaica to train and teach. Chris MacDonald and his guys will be training semi-private with me through the week and then on Saturday I will giving a seminar.

In my time off the mat, I am going to write some essays on various topics such as: "Training while injured", and "Mental Revalations of a Developing Jiu Jitsu Student."

Any other topics you would like me to cover?

Anyone want to come train in the beautiful Jamaica?

Happy Grappling,

Tim

Sir, if I could afford to, I'd be there in a flash. I can't think of a more perfect climate to train in...

Would be happy to have you! Perhaps a trip to Indiana would be cheaper though the climate is drastically different. :D

Keep training. I have enjoyed viewing your blog which reminds me I need to get back to it some time soon.

it's definately on my list of things I need to do on my BJJ journey. My blog has suffered significatly in the last few months as my training has kind of come to a stand still. Right now it consists of reading books, watching videos, and drilling a bit when I can find a training partner.

As for papers? I would love to hear your thoughts on ways of training when "proper training" isn't available to you. If it's just you, drills? theory study? etc... I think it could make for a very interesting read coming from you.

I have noted this topic and will try to address it in the near future... I need to reflect on it because there have been several times in my life where training was less than 'proper'... Good idea though.
