Hey guys:

I'm looking for feedback on features for the new site. I am asking you guys to help me shape the new features of the site.

For example: I have 6 categories for techniques. I've had suggestions to add other categories (from guard, from mount, gi, no gi). My only concern is that the menu can get rather big (not that its a problem). Your suggestions please.

Right now I have:
armlocks
leglocks
chokes/cranks
throws
sweeps
other

Let's hear them!

I suggest breaking each move down by position it is executed from(guard, mount, back), grouping all the standing positions together cause that'd be alot of sub categories all for standing, then having a section on solo training and drills, then 1 eddie bravo section =), an escapes section...and then a Misc. category for everything that doesn't fall into the categories.

my input.:)

I say just have each section like you mentioned and in each section just have a gi and no gi video. That way you can keep the same amount of groups but more videos in the group

yeah i think if it'd be nice when you click on (example) chokes/cranks then there could be 2 columns (Gi/No Gi) or list all of the Gi techniques first with Gi written in bold above them, then if you keep scrolling down you get to a bold NO GI heading with all the videos in that category, i really don't know if you need it, because i think the site is very simple to understand and i like the layout right now, but a lot of people seem to want gi/no gi sections...1 section i think might be needed to be added soon is self defense and that'd un-cluster the other section a lot... and another thing is some videos in the other section could fit in an existing section like...

Upa Mount escape could be in sweeps
obi otoshi could be in throws

just minor minor things that could be changed but thats all i can really think of, i would try and give you something big... but you have done a great job on the site and other then adding more and more submissions every week (witch you do), i don't think there is much to really improve on, it's already a great site... and other then some minor section changes and adding some standing judo (inner/outter etc..) throws your site is nearly perfect! great job and keep up the good work:D

Maybe like he said.... a competition (all Gi vids)/ non-competition (anything you can do without a Gi) sections. Like he said though..... I like the site as is and is it possible it may be harder to find things if they are grouped together in sections?

They sites pretty great the way it is, but like mentioned above, the other section could use a little cleaning up. Having a section for the seminars and the Eddie Bravo talks would be pretty cool.

Ver 2.0 should be done in about 4 weeks (or sooner). It will have a Eddie Bravo section. Should be good....

I dunno if it would be better to have one category Defence
or under each link for the vid to do the move offensivly, have a link under it for the defence to it
and do as much possitional holding advice as you can fit in!
