ari, just looking for some grappling advice. how would you go about beating someone who is about 25lbs lighter than you, with much better technique and many more years of experience.....blond hair maybe......likes the rubber guard....name starts with an "A".....ends in a "I".....don't wanna get too specific.

Bring a weapon that can be used from a distance maybe? There is also the old fashioned way of train tons more....But ya the weapon is a good choice ;)

just learn what you can and use what you learn
focus on defence initially
if you last long enough w/out making a mistake, the other person will and that's when you win

Hey DFRASE,
Have you been able to tap this blond haired menace, and if yes how?

Dante....nope hasn't happened. closest thing to it is posted in this thread.
technique is smooth and he is freaky strong for his size.
but he has the mental part of it down which makes it very hard. by the time i think about a sub, he is already thinking of how to reverse it. that leads to me thinking i have a triangle locked in and then the next thing i know i am tapping to an armbar i have never even seen before. ha ha...if you don't understand just watch the vid again. that triangle was on TIGHT!
His teaching skills are even better than his grappling skills. If any of you guys ever have the opportunity to come train here or attend a seminar I highly suggest it.
