Ive been researching various conceptual frameworks for the last couple years like: Doubler bagger, mission control, x guard, y guards transition guards etc. Any one got any concepts from new guards or old one that they wanna share?

Keep it tight, break 'em down.
Works every time.

Constriction, sectoring and limiting his potential counters is always a plus.

Psychological warfare. You can hold a guy in guard almost as easily as mount or side control, if you're good at it. The difference is in guard, he'll feel like he shouldn't be trapped, so he'll get frustrated and tire himself out.

QFT. I'll break them down, let them up, then push them back, just to break them down again... do that a few times, THEN work my sweeps.
As far as open guards, I play a ton of spider, DLR and scissor guards. Three points of pressure, control their body and be mobile.

Ever since I saw the video Ari did for "The Pentagram Choke" I have tried to think of and play the back position as if it were a guard position, rather than just always securing the hooks. I have come up with a move that I call "The Babysitter" from the back position but I just figured that it was probably already out there. I guess it's time to do a video and see if anyone recognizes it and/or what you guys think.
It is basically a neck crank and you don't need your hands. It has a success rate of maybe 5 to 10 percent but it works really good on little kids, and it frees up your hands, enabling you to hold them and play Xbox simultaneously. That is why I call it The Babysitter.

Sounds like a Leg Cradle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKzIm9v-fRU) done Jits style :) I love it.
I'm trying to do that with the Crucifix, but doing it wrestling style as a pin. I already have an idea, but I have no one to practice it on.

It put's their body in a similar position but is COMPLETELY different. I will do a video. I do like that leg cradle thingy though it was slick.

I'm just keeping it real. :o

Yeah, I'd imagine it was similar, but not quite the same. I'm VERY interested in the video.
I love the leg cradle, cause if you do it right you can do push-ups out of it!

Concepts from the guard? Hahaha. We have to many to name. It's better to ask a specific guard question or problem that way you can get a specific answer.
For right now I would stay away from the double bagger. It builds bad habits.
BTW, I dont think I know what the Y guard is.

I don't think the doubler bagger is a guard onto itself. It is just a transition built into the 10th Planet system to set up submissions. There is no reason to hold the double bagger like you would the normal closed guard because all the DB does is tie up both your hands and legs. You can't attack or move at all and eventually you will get tired.
I use the guard to stop a guy from mounting me, I use guard to hold a man where I can work him, beat him, submit him, or, if necessary, tire him.
I know squat in the Jiu-jitsu world. I only have my own, inconsequential, small corner of the arts in which I play.
Jiu-jitsu players are not the only ones who pull guard. :)

Imagine that..ari would know which guard is hardest for me to work from...thats one of the things ive been struggling with is options from d.b. because it limits my own transitions...any subsitute positions you can suggest?
