Some hate was posted on youtube concerning that sweep and it's total BS. My instructor loves that sweep. The only difference is he reaches for the top guy's belt at the opposite side. Now I know two ways to do this sweep. It works great when the top guy gets distracted going after your top arm.

Anyone who comments that this sweep is total BS has not done jiu jitsu or is a troll. There are some moves out there where you can question how legit they are but I have seen this sweep work many times in LIVE competition and rolling.

This is also a PROMO video meaning he doesn't go into detail (there is a video of him explaining everything about this and variations).

Take no heed...its real in every sense of the word.

I didn't know this one had a name. That's our day one sweep from bottom side control. It works like a champ if you get them to push back into you. That's the key. This sweep uses their own force against them. It's the definition of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
