Here is the video of my student Aaron Super Ram and I rolling. Aaron is an up and coming MMA fighter with great skill. Our match was back and forward with sweep and reversals throughout.
...but this old man's not ready to pass the touch just yet...;)
Enjoy

We went 10 minutes without a submission (we don't do points when we roll for fun..like most people)...but I'll get him next time (wink)....and I've got only one arm right now (torn rotator cuff that is 7 weeks in the healing stage).
No EXCUSES though...Aaron is a SOLID grappler and he said right at the beginning of the match (you can't hear because I muted the sound) " My goal in life is to tap you out."
I told him " stand in line with all the rest of the guys." Its a funny thing, as an instructor, you know the day will come when your students will 'best you' but it also is a good thing to see.
Guess we'll have to wait until next time, but I'm not ready to go quietly just yet.
Right Aaron?

Hey guys, looks like I'll be getting 50 tickets to sell at $40 a piece, so if you know anyone who wants to attend send them my way.
The event will be professionally recorded and I will eventually get a copy of it so I'll get Ari to put that up. I don't know how long that will take to get so maybe I can get an adoring fan to take a little video from there seat:D .
Training is going awesome, my submissions are on the ball right now, I've finally snapped out of the sit and wait for my opportunity to come mode and into make stuff happen mode. Landed an armbar, RNC, and anaconda with gator roll tonight. Fitness is about one week away from being at the level I want it.
Anyone got any advice for pre-fight nerves, I know there going to be there once I step into the cage.
Thanks guys,
Aaron
If it makes you feel any better even the pros get them. On an episode of Inside the UFC they were saying that even the pros like Franklin, Rampage and Liddell get nervous before going out.

Aaron:
I know Dylan and I are in. I also think a few of Dylan's buddies are coming. Let ya know.
Just know that even though some of us can't possibly be there that we will be thinking about you during the fight. Good luck and represent Ari's school and BJJG with pride. Submission of the night! Go for it.:)

Great BJJ vid. It shows how fun rolling is. Back when I was in the Navy there was a group of us that rolled in the deep mag of the 5" gun everytime they called general quarters, it was a blast. Also good luck to Aaron kick some ass.
