Guys, I'm aiming for a little thing called the Canadian Joint task force. Kinda not known about, but its one of canada's most elite anti-terrorism force. The problem is that It would probably take me years to not only be at their physical standard, but I'd have to be at the mental standard as well. Hand to hand combat doesn't really bother me, but I'm pretty sure my marksmanship is definitely not up to par

That's what the military is for. You have to be in the CF for at least 2 years if you're an officer, 3 for an enlisted man I think...something like that, anyway, it's a lot of time to get better shooting skills lol. Also, see Facebook message.

Application to JTF-2 from the regular force requires a minimum of two years service, and from the reserve it requires three. Some very good information found here.
